He was 53 years. His family confirmed his sudden death in a statement that read. Mncedisi Shabangu is a renowned South African actor playwright and theater director popular for films such as Catch a Fire Hijack Stories Dirty Laundry and Viaan.

The actors brother Mthokozisi Shabangu confirmed the news to TshisaLIVE saying Mncedisi died in the early hours of. Memorial and funeral arrangements will be announced said the Shabangu family. The cause of death was not disclosed however.

Shabangu was born in KwaMashu Durban and after a while his family decided to move to Kanyamazane township through the Group Areas Act.

He just complained about chest pains. He was born on November 3 1973 in South Africa. The award-winning actor playwright and theatre director passed away at his home in Mpumalanga.

Mansedisi Shabangu is a very talented actor. Prior to this he was well-known for his 2008 appearance as Skhumbuzo in the second season of the SABC3 drama series The Lab.
